Is there an American Retirement Community in Mexico?
About 4 years ago I took a cruise and enjoyed serval parts of Mexico. Interested in options to strech my retirement dollars further!

- there are quite a number of communites in Mexico where people from the United States and Canada have retired. Among the more popular places are the following: Lake Chapala near Guadalajara, San Migual de Allende, and Puerto Vallarta. These three locations each have large populations of English speakers. However, be aware that it is likely that the current mayor of Mexico City is likely to be elected the next president of Mexico. He is considered to be very left leaning. Also be aware that in the past Mexico has frozen bank deposits and devalued drastically the peso.
