Retirement Communities? Does anyone know of any retirement communities in the Kansas area that will mail out information packets instead of e-mail?
Any opinions on Retirement Communities in AZ? Actually, any places in the southwest. Looking for dry, warm climate. I am an avid motorcyclist. It will be semi-retirement, will most likely need to find a job for a while. I am a clinical social worker/therapist. Is there a relatively affordable, low traffic area with decent health care and a knock out view?
How would I get my dog registered to be a service dog to go to retirement homes and give people pleasure? I adopted a rescue dog who has yet to meet a human stranger and makes everybody smile. I would like to see about registering him as a service dog to take him to retirement communities to enrich the day of some of the residents there. How would I go about this? I live in Texas, if that helps answer this question. Kristin, I did get confused but at least the other two answerers were mature enough not to point it out. Thanks.
Have you considered living in a nice new retirement community? We have a new one opening in the winter here. It is open to 55 and older and rent payments are based on income. I have owned my mothers house for about 8 years now and since my divorce cant really afford the upkeep ,,, Im thinking about moving to the retirement community and renting this house to my sister. Any thoughts on this? Any comments or suggestions appreciated. I have been depressed since I moved into this house last Oct. I need a new start.Maybe this could be it?
Need a name for a spring-themed card party at a retirement community? Along with our activity director, I'm planning a May card party for our residents and seniors from the community. It will be spring/garden themed and we need a catchy name for it. I'm trying to avoid "Spring Fling" because it seems like everyone uses that. Does anyone have any different ideas? Thanks!
Which Presidential Candidate called a popular retirement community "Seizure World" ? This candidate referred to the Leisure World retirement community as "Seizure World", where "97 percent of the people vote and the other 3 percent are in intensive care," a joke whose offense he made worse, as he later conceded, when he did not forthrightly apologize for it. Who was it? Inquiring minds want to know? http://www.azcentral.com/news/specials/mccain/articles/0301mccainbio-chapter1.html
Are there any better gated retirement golf communities that are better than http://www.sunlakesofarizona.com ? I saw the pictures on www.sunlakesofarizona.com of the community and did a little research on the five country clubs but can’t find anything comparable in the general area. The taxes and cost of living are very inexpensive. Real estate costs are very low compared to Boston. I want to compare with other over 40 (years of age) over 55 communities in the area, can't find anything else and find that very surprising. Sorry but I don't trust real estate people for showing me what I want to see. Sun Lakes is located adjacent to Chandler, AZ and Tempe, AZ. 10 minutes south of Phoenix off I-10
